I use the colour black for the Pen brush but the colour that show up are grey. It seems the opacity of the colour changes. But it doesnt do that with the watercolour brush.

The opacity of the color may be set to a lighter value for the Pen brush. Try adjusting the opacity setting in the brush settings to achieve a darker black color.
